How do I set up Send Direct?

To set up Send Direct, log into your Bananatag Account and click Account and then Settings from the menu. Then click the Send Direct tab.

Your username will already be filled out with your email address, so you'll only need to type in your password and click Test & Save Settings.

 

 

Bananatag will then attempt to automatically confirm the needed Send Direct settings based on what you have entered. If it is unsuccessful in determining your settings then you will manually need to enter your information. 

Note: In some environments (like certain Exchange setups) your username may only be the first part of your email. For example, your email may be john@bananatag.com, but your domain username is just john. If this is the case click No Domain Required. If you're not sure about this, check with your administrator.

 

Manually Enter SMTP Settings

For most major email providers, Bananatag already has the outgoing server information that it needs to sync your accounts. In some cases however, you may need to provide your outgoing server, port, and type of encryption used.

 

 

Note: All fields are required. If you're unsure about these settings check with your network administrator or check these Common SMTP Settings.
