Step 3: Track Your Email

Tracking your emails lets you know how your recipients are interacting with your emails, after they are sent. Tracking your first email is simple!

Track Email with Outlook

 STEP 1: Select Emails in the top Outlook navigation menu within the Bananatag box

STEP 2: Pick either the + New Email Draft or use the existing drafts that you built from within the Bananatag Broadcast window

STEP 3: If you selected + New Email Draft, you can choose to create your draft from the following options:

  • Your Templates - templates that you’ve already created and saved
  • Template Library - a selection of Bananatag provided templates
  • From Scratch - start a new draft from the ground up!

STEP 4: Whichever option you pick, a new Bananatag Broadcast window will open where you can make any changes to your pre-built template or newly created draft

STEP 5: Click Preview & Send

STEP 6: Add your Distribution List to the BCC field and include at least one email address in the To or CC fields

STEP 7: Make sure Track Email is switched on. Click Send and you’re done!

WARNING

If you are sending to any email included in the BCC field you must have at least one address in the TO or CC field.

 

Track Email with Gmail

STEP 1: Select Drafts or compose a new text-based email

STEP 2: If you selected Drafts, you can choose a draft to send from the All or Scheduled folders

STEP 3: Within All - You can Schedule, Send, Edit, or Delete a draft. Within Scheduled - You can see all your scheduled emails to be sent at a later time/date.

STEP 4: You can also create a new draft by clicking +. You can schedule or send the email right away by choosing to create your draft from the following options:

  • Your Templates - templates that you’ve already created and saved
  • Template Library - a selection of Bananatag provided templates
  • From Scratch - start a new draft from the ground up!

STEP 5: Send a Drafted email by selecting Send and adding your distribution list in the BCC field and including at least one email in the To or CC fields.

Make sure Track is switched on!

You can also select the email to be Recurring, repeated either daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.

HELPFUL TIP

You can send your email at a specific time by clicking on Send Later
