Handling multiple aliases in Gmail

The Bananatag browser extension supports multiple aliases in Gmail by providing two options. You can configure your Bananatag Alias settings in Gmail by clicking on the Banananatag 'b' in Gmail and selecting Gmail Aliases.

Options when using multiple aliases:

  1. Track from the primary account – i.e. if you log into john@gmail.com and track and a message from an alias (johndoe@gmail.com), the email is tracked in the john@gmail.com Bananatag account as this would be your Primary gmail account.
  2. Track to it's own account – i.e. if you log into john@gmail.com and track and a message from an alias (johndoe@gmail.com), the email is tracked in the johndoe@gmail.com Bananatag account. Note that With this option, your alias and your primary account are completely separate.
