How to Test Send Your Drafts from Bananatag

IntCom.png

Why would I want to do this?

Replace the Send Test Email process through the Bananatag email designer, to:

i) - Allow the send to stay internal (rather than from @bananatag.com). This removes the risk of formatting errors coming from an external sender.

ii) - Allows sending the test to multiple recipients ("Send Test Email" through the designer only supports individual sending).

iii) - Have the same workflow for test sends and real sends!

Note: You can still Test Send from app.bananatag.com - it will be sent from an external source (info@bananatag.com) though so it may not be formatted exactly as outlined in this process below.

note.png IMPORTANT NOTE

By sending an un-tracked draft, the email draft will remain in the Bananatag sidebar for all extensions. Only when the draft is selected for tracking will it be removed from the sidebar as this would count as a 'tracked send'.

Remember to not forward or otherwise distribute your untracked draft to your larger audience as you won't be able to collect metrics unless the email is sent with tracked enabled.

How do I send an untracked draft?

Instructions for each version of Bananatag are included below:

Gmail Extension:

After inserting your draft into the Bananatag compose window via the sidebar, flip the Track Email switch from it's enabled to disabled position.

Outlook 2.0 add-in for Windows:

After inserting your draft into the Bananatag compose window via the sidebar, flip the Track Email switch from it's enabled to disabled position.

Office365 add-in:

After inserting your draft into the Bananatag compose window via the sidebar, flip the Track Email switch from it's enabled to disabled position.
