Introduction to Reports
Reporting with Bananatag is easy! Gain the insights needed to improve communications and report out on the effectiveness of your strategies.
Your Dashboard is the first stop when you log into your Bananatag account. This is a helpful guide to using it effectively.
Navigation Menu contains quick links to the following pages:
|Date Selection menu will determine the range of data displayed in the Dashboard. You can use a pre-made date range or use a custom range to increase this to a 6-month window or decrease to a single day.|
|Key Overview Statistics will show the number of tracked communications, unique opens, and clicks between the dates chosen.|
|Engagement Overview will display an overview of all sending interaction within the date range specified in the Date Selection.|
|Device Type Opens Overview shows the percentage of opens attributed to both desktop and mobile platforms.|
|Latest Tracked Emails is where you will find a list of the most recently sent communications from this account and their associated details.|
Reading Email Metrics
Increase Your Email Success Rate
Bananatag gives you powerful insight into the what, where, when and how of your email audience. The details on these metrics can be found below. With the information gathered you can determine everything from ideal sending time to what device type is getting the most opens.
You can view your email metrics further in two ways:
- Click on a specific email in your dashboard
- Click on ‘Emails’ on the top menu bar to locate and click the email you want to view
Below are the different sections that you will come across once you've selected the email you wish to explore:
Details section contains the subject line for your identification purposes. Important dates such as the send date as well as the date the most recent interaction (opens or clicks) took place. You can click the Show Recipients button to expand this view to see either individual recipients or distribution lists the email was sent to.
Summary section provides you with the powerful insights needed to track your email engagement. This section includes:
|Locations tab generates a geographic heat map based on opens. Here you can zoom in using the + or - buttons in the bottom left or click the expand icon on a country to see cities where opens took place. You are given both totals opens in each country or city as well as what percentage of your total opens those represent.|
View tab displays exactly where your audience is clicking in your email. Displaying detailed information on the clicks so that you can see where your audience is engaging with your content.
|Surveys tab displays your audience's answers to any surveys you included in your email. Giving you both the anecdotal feedback and the statistical details from your surveys.|
View aggregated data — use our pre-generated reports or create your own. You can click the Reports tab to see a list of common handy preset reports or customize further.
Creating reports is easy. Follow the steps below to generate a custom report.
|In your dashboard, click on Reports at the top menu bar|
|Click on the New Custom Reports button|
|Choose a date range to search by selecting a start and end date|
|Add a metric you wish to view|
|Add a dimension(s) of the report you want to see|
|Choose one or several filters to refine your report|
|Click Generate Report||
You can name and save the report by clicking on the save icon at the top right of the page.
You can export a .CSV file of the report by clicking on the cloud with arrow icon at the top right of the page
